Basic First Aid Training

 

The main difference between a Basic first aid training course and a full First AId at Work (FAW) course is that an FAW course is assessed by an independant external first aid Assessor and therefore delegates receive a HSE accredited first aid certificate. Other than that, content is very similar to an FAW syllabus.

  • Recovery Position
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation: Infant, Child, Adult)
  • Alternative Ventilation Procedures
  • Introduction to Automated External Defibrillation
  • Choking: Infant, Child, Adult
  • Severe Bleeding
  • Shock Management
  • Surveys, History Taking and Physical Assessment
  • Respiratory Illnesses: Asthma, Hyperventialtion, Chest Injuries
  • Environmental Injurues: Electrical, Burns
  • Enironmental Illnesses: Frostbite, Hypothermia, Heat Exhaustion, Heat Stroke
  • Nervous System Illnesses: Fainting, Epilepsy and Seizures, Head and Spine
  • Medical Conditions: Allergies, Anaphylactic Shock, Diabetes, Poisoning
  • Injuries: Eyes, Wounds and Bleeding
  • Health and Safety: First Aid Kits, Accident Recording

 

Course Costs

  • £90 per person +VAT
  • £800 per group +VAT (12 maximum)
