UK First Aid Training: First Aid at Work Refresher
  

Available throughout the UK, first aid training refresher course for work is a twelve hour HSE approved course which is available ONLY to persons who hold an in-date First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate. FAW certificates remain in-date for three years from the date the course was passed.

Delegates who have exceeded the three-year time period are required to attend a full eighteen hour FAW course.

  • Clearing the Airway
  • Recovery Position
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • Alternative Ventilation Procedures
  • Introduction to Automated External Defibrillation
  • Choking
  • Severe Bleeding
  • Shock Management
  • Surveys, History Taking and Physical Assessment
  • Respiratory Illnesses: Asthma, Hyperventialtion, Chest Injuries
  • Curiculatory Illnesses: Angina, Heart Attack, Stroke, Fainting
  • Environmental Injurues: Electrical, Burns
  • Enironmental Illnesses: Frostbite, Hypothermia, Heat Exhaustion, Heat Stroke
  • Nervous System Illnesses: Epilepsy and Seizures, Head and Spine
  • Medical Conditions: Allergies, Anaphylactic Shock, Diabetic Emergencies, Poisoning
  • Injuries: Eyes, Fractures, Disclocations, Sprains and Strains, Crush/Compression
  • Health and Safety: First Aid Kits, 'RIDDOR', 'COSHH', Accident Recording
